Conversations in comic books can be very hard to illustrate with dramatic tension. I’ve been trying to improve my skills in this department.

I noticed actress Pascale Armand would be well cast as a character in an upcoming story arc in Weird Luck. I took a bunch of screen grabs and used them to try to create a comic page that seemed to be in the middle of a conversation. This is not meant to recreate the scene in the show, and the dialogue does not matter. It is just an exercise in staging and model reference.
The illustration is essentially a tracing of the photos. Drawn in Procreate with a dumb stylus. Inking on an ipad currently leaves much to be desired.
